WADLEY, AL— Southern Union State Community College is now enrolling students in its Criminal Justice Short Certificate, a program specifically designed to help working law enforcement professionals advance their education while continuing to serve their communities.
Whether officers are seeking a promotion, earning an additional credential, or preparing to continue their education, this certificate provides a flexible, career-focused pathway that fits the demanding schedules of today’s public safety professionals. The program offers morning, afternoon, evening, and hybrid online course options, along with traditional classroom instruction on Southern Union’s Wadley Campus.
Unlike traditional degree pathways, the Criminal Justice Short Certificate emphasizes coursework that directly supports careers in law enforcement, corrections, and security. Students complete relevant criminal justice courses while also strengthening essential communication skills through practical English coursework designed to improve report writing and other day-to-day professional documentation.
