Mr. Jerry L. Turner, 80 of Chambers County, Alabama passed away peacefully on July 26, 2026 in Talladega County, Alabama surrounded by his son and friends.
He is survived by his son, Jerry W. Turner, who was his world; an aunt, Murtis Farr, two daughters, Terry (Walt) Byuck and Sherry Turner; two stepsons that he raised and thought of as his own, Tommy Hart and Michael “Mikey” Hart, three grandchildren, Nicole (Michael) Anderson, Gabe Schneider, and Kylie Huntsman; two great-grandchildren, Kenmire and Edward; a special friend, Jenn Hilton (and co-parent to Jerry), several nieces and nephews, great-nieces, one great-great niece, one great-great nephew, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy Sr. and Lorraine Turner; his sister, Fay Turner and brother, Roy Turner, Jr.; and other family members.
Jerry loved to laugh and have a good time, and travel when he could. Our favorite memories are of the trip to Seattle. And if we were home and I told him something going on, he would say let’s go. He was always up to any shenanigans I could think of. He will be missed dearly.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, July 29, 2026, 3:00 PM CST at Silmon-Seroyer Funeral Home Chapel in LaFayette, AL.
Burial will follow in Hillcrest Gardens in Lanett, AL.
