Opelika Man Charged with Multiple Counts of Possession of Child Pornography

OPELIKA, Ala. – On August 6, 2026, the Opelika Police Department arrested 39-year-old Jeffery Russell from Opelika, AL, on four counts of Possession of Child Pornography. The arrest stems from an investigation into a tip from the Internet Crime Against Children (ICAC) and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC). The information provided indicated that videos were uploaded in March of 2026. Through the investigation, Russell was identified as the suspect. On Thursday, August 6, 2026, Russell was arrested and booked into the Lee County Jail.
