Mr. Jimmie T. Brooks, Jr. 78 of Lanett, AL passed away on Thursday, June 25, 2026..
Public Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, from 2:00 PM until 6:00 PM CST at Silmon-Seroyer Funeral Home Chapel in LaFayette, AL.
Mr. Brooks will lie in repose at the church one hour prior to the funeral service.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, 1:00 PM EST at Love Union Baptist Church in West Point, GA, Pastor Rodell Poole, Officiating, Rev. Tony Avery, Eulogist.
Burial will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery in Lanett, AL.
Mr. Brooks leaves cherished memories with three daughters, Cassandra (Alexandria) Lovelace of LaGrange, GA, Naketta (Rob) Sharpe of Auburn, AL, and Yolanda Burton of Opelika, AL; two sons, Dexter St. George of Lanett, AL and Desmond Flournoy of Savannah, GA; one brother, Homer Brooks of Lanett, AL, fifteen grandchildren: Trelanda, Tatyan28na, Breanna St. George, Imeisha Barnes, Corderell St. George, Richard Sharpe, Vartinez, Arbreiel, Zolandra Burton, Princess St. George, Kernesia Bridges, Sa’Breya St. George, Jamarques, Alesha, Reonbre Lovelace, thirty-eight great-grandchildren, two special nephews, Tony and Billy Avery, three special caregivers, Kenny Abner, Herbert Heard and Chester Holloway, and an array of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
