Mildred Mozelle Dean, 95, of LaFayette, Alabama, passed away on June 25, 2026, in Opelika, Al at her daughter’s residence. She was born in Schley County, Georgia, on March 31, 1931, to the late William and Eva Robinson.
She was a member of LaFayette Heights Baptist Church.
Mozelle was retired from the Russell Corp. in LaFayette after 16 years of service and 21 years with Playtex.
Mozelle is survived by children; Larry (Cathy) Dean, Janice (Larry) Thrower, and Christie Neiswinger, 9 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren; and 17 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Allen Dean, daughter, Cynthia Gill, 3 sisters and 1 brother, and great granddaughter, Zoie Vernon.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, at 11:00 am CST at LaFayette Heights Baptist Church, 1200 AL Hwy 77, LaFayette, AL, with Reverend Dave Bearden officiating. Burial will follow at LaFayette City Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10:00 – 11:00 am at the church, prior to the service.
