On Saturday, June 27, 2026, at the age of 93, Marie Marcus Tigner Fuller, of West Point, GA, passed away peacefully at home, in her bed, with family present. She was born to Hope and Elizabeth Tigner on September 29, 1932, at their home in West Point, GA.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Hope Hull Tigner and Elizabeth Barker Tigner, her beloved husband of 66 years, Richard Harold Fuller, Sr., her daughter, Marie Paige Fuller, a great-grandson, Gabriel Trevor Fuller, and her sister, Martha Tigner Borders.

She is survived by her sons, Richard (Lori) and Alan (Renee), as well as her brother, John Tigner of Greenville, SC, along with 9 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

For all of her 93 plus years she was a life-long resident of West Point and a faithful member of the First United Methodist Church. She was a graduate of West Point High School, class of 1950, and attended both Huntingdon College and Alabama Polytechnic Institute (Auburn.)

Marie worked in a variety of fields but is most remembered for her many years at Valley National Bank from which she retired as a vice-president/loan officer. After which she entered into a second career for the next 22 years as the financial secretary of FUMCWP.

She was known for her kindness and hospitality, she was always welcoming and would greet you with an honest and natural smile. Last minute guests were always welcomed at her table.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 18, 2026. Visitation will be from 10:00-11:00 in the Zachary Center and a memorial service at 11:00 in the sanctuary of FUMC.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers donations be made to the soup kitchen of the First United Methodist Church of West Point.
