Linda Gale (Murphy) Moody, of Beulah, Alabama, passed away surrounded by the love of her family. Born and raised in Beulah, Gale remained proud of her hometown throughout her life. She will be remembered for her kind heart, unwavering love for her family, and the joy she found in life’s simple moments.
Gale was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Above all else, her grandchildren were the pride and joy of her life. She treasured every moment spent with them, creating memories that will forever be held close in their hearts.
A devoted Alabama football fan, Gale rarely missed an opportunity to cheer on the Crimson Tide.
Gale is survived by her loving children, Kayla (Justin) Lazenby, Dale Murphy, and Rusty Murphy; and her cherished grandchildren, Jaxson Lazenby, Katherine Lazenby, Makinzee Murphy, Kyleigh Lazenby, and Deklan Lazenby.
She is also survived by her siblings, Lamar (Cindy) Murphy, Travis (Teresa) Murphy, Diane Murphy Martin, John (Misty) Martin, and Linda Evert; along with 18 nieces and nephews and many beloved great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ray (Helen) Murphy and Bonnie Cofield, and her twin sister Dale Murphy, sister Debra Martin, and brother-in-law Billy Evert and Eddie Martin.
Gale’s legacy is one of unconditional love, strength, laughter, and unwavering devotion to her family. Though she will be deeply missed, her love will continue to live on through the many lives she touched.
The family asks that Gale be remembered not only for the way she left this world, but for the love, kindness, and warmth she shared with everyone fortunate enough to know her. Her memory will forever remain in the hearts of her family and friends.
A Memorial Service for Ms. Gale will be held at 10:00 AM CDT at the Bridge Church on August 15th, 2026, the family will have lunch following the service if anyone would like to bring a dish to feed the family!
