The wife of Lee County Sheriff-elect Cam Hunt was arrested on a domestic violence charge, according to Opelika police.
Allison Duke with the Opelika Police Department confirmed Aggie Kalyn Hunt, 36, was arrested on a Domestic Violence III charge. Her bond was set at $1,000 with an active bond status.
Sheriff-elect Cam Hunt released a statement following the charges.
“This is a private family matter involving people I love and care about deeply,” Hunt said. “Out of respect for everyone involved, I will not be discussing details publicly or engaging in speculation online.”
