Lanett PD Responds to Weekend Shooting: Police Investigating

On 05/24/2026 the Lanett Police Department was dispatched to the 3000 block of 18th Ave. SW in reference to a male subject who had sustained multiple gunshot wounds. A second subject was contacted in the 1300 block of S. 8th Ave. who had also sustained a gunshot wound. Both subjects were transported to local hospitals with non-life threatening injuries.
