David Arthur Breedlove, known to family and friends as David, passed away on April 13, 2026, in Auburn, Alabama, at the age of 68.
He was born on May 19, 1957, in Valley, Alabama, and spent his life rooted in the values of hard work, loyalty, and kindness. David was a loving and kind man whose presence brought comfort and steadiness to those around him. He will be remembered for the genuine way he cared for others and for the many relationships he built throughout his life.
David was a devoted family man who treasured the people closest to him. He is survived by his wife, Debra Breedlove; his son, Jason Breedlove; his daughters, Bridget Baltes; his grandchildren, Destiny Baltes, Prestin Baltes, and Brooklynne Baltes; and his mother, Sally Breedlove. He was preceded in death by his father, Arthur Breedlove. His family was the center of his life, and he took great pride in being a husband, father, grandfather, and son.
A dedicated Eagle Scout, David carried the principles of service, responsibility, and integrity with him throughout his life. Those who knew him could see those qualities in the way he treated others, and, in the respect, he showed to everyone he met. He was also known for his enjoyment of working with the public during his years at King Ford, where he appreciated the opportunity to connect with people and share in their daily lives.
David had a lifelong love of Valley Football and faithfully followed the team for 50 years. He was also an avid Alabama fan, and he took great joy in cheering on his favorite teams through the years. These interests were more than pastimes to him. They were part of the rhythm of his life and reflected the pride he felt in his community and in the traditions he held dear.
Those who knew David will remember his warm spirit, his gentle nature, and the kindness he extended so freely. He had a way of making others feel welcome and valued, and his memory will remain a blessing to all who loved him. His life was marked by devotion to family, faithfulness to his interests, and a steady example of what it means to live with love and kindness.
Graveside services for David will be held on Wednesday, April 15th, 2026, at 2:30 PM (EDT) at Fairfax Cemetery in Valley, Alabama. Interment will follow in Fairfax Cemetery. The Pastor Michael Foster will officiate. David’s family will receive friends for visitation Tuesday evening at the funeral home from 6:00 to 8:00 PM (EDT).
