It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Arnold Ader “David” Heptinstall, who peacefully passed away on Friday, July 24, 2026, at East Alabama Medical Center at the age of 79.

 Born on April 15, 1947, David lived a life rooted in hard work, dedication, and an unwavering love for his family. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Linda, and we take comfort in knowing they are together once again.

David is survived by his loving children: Brenda Gail and her husband, Randy; Harold Eugene and his wife, Nancy; and David Charles and his wife, Heather. He also leaves behind a legacy through his 13 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, as well as many friends of his children he considered his family as well.

David will be remembered for his kindness, quiet wisdom, gentle spirit, and warm sense of humor. He touched the lives of many through his generosity, steadfast character, and the love he shared with those around him. His memory will continue to live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

A proud Vietnam-era veteran, David served his country with honor. He will be laid to rest with full military honors at Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery at a future date. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude for the many prayers, expressions of sympathy, and acts of kindness shown during this difficult time. Your love and support have been a great comfort.

Though he will be deeply missed, David’s legacy of love, family, and service will never be forgotten.
