Mr. Alford Ray, 85, of New York City, (formerly of LaFayette) died Tuesday, July 7, 2026, at St. Barnabas Hospital, Bronx, New York. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, July 21, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. (CST) at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery, 2467 County Road 28, LaFayette with Rev. Terrence Holloway officiating.
Mr. Ray is survived by his wife: Mildred Ray; two sons: Alfred Ray, Jr. and Gary Lamont Ray; three grandchildren: Na’gee Unique Ray, Gevelle Jordan Ray and Christopher Bryan Ray; one brother: Willie C., LaFayette; two sisters: Susie Mae, LaFayette and Mary Alice (James), Atlanta, GA and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
