We come together to honor the life of Grace Elizabeth DeLoach, fondly known as “Granny” to her loved ones, who departed this world on June 14, 2025, in Valley, Alabama, enveloped by the affection of her family. Born on September 7, 1939, in Beulah, Alabama, Grace’s journey was marked by an unwavering spirit of love and resilience.

Grace is survived by a devoted family that includes her sons, Austin L. Williams and Trinity Andrew Williams; her cherished grandchildren, Daniel, Melissa, and Michael Williams; her adored great-grandchildren, Trent, Trevin, Prather, Kayla, Danielle, Lanee, Austin, Alexis, Grey, Zariah, Aubryn, and Haley; and her precious great-great-grandchildren, Austyn, Wrenlynn, and Gunnar. Her memories will continue to be celebrated by her sisters, Carol, Mavis, Violet, and Lillian. Welcoming Grace into eternity is her beloved husband, James Phillip DeLoach; her son, Andrew Lynn Williams; her brother, Albert Eastridge; and her parents, Dixie Eastridge and Loneta Rogers.

Grace left an indelible mark through her professional life, serving diligently as secretary to the Lanett Mill Manager for many years. Her dedication extended to her spiritual community at True Faith Baptist Church in Cusseta, Alabama, where she was a supportive presence. Grace’s adventurous spirit led her to find joy in riding motorcycles with her husband. Once they rode cross-country to California, a testament to her zest for life and exploration.

Perhaps most notable was Grace’s heart as a mother and matriarch; her fierce love was the cornerstone of her family. Known in the community for her kindness and generosity, she had a way with cooking that meant no one left her home without a full plate and a warm heart. Her aptitude for nurturing extended to her exquisite garden, reflecting her joy in cultivating beauty and sustenance.

Described as loving, kind, and generous, Grace’s impact on her family and community can hardly be overstated. She was a woman of strength and grace, perfectly embodied by her name. As we commemorate her legacy, we carry forward the spirit of unwavering love and kindness that she modeled so effortlessly. Grace Elizabeth DeLoach will be profoundly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her, and her legacy of love and generosity will continue to thrive in the lives she touched.

Funeral services for Grace will be held on Wednesday, June 18th, 2025, at 11:00 AM (EDT) at the Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home Chapel in Valley, Alabama. Interment will follow in Harmony Memorial Park Cemetery. Pastor Billie Watts will officiate. Grace’s family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 PM (EDT) at the Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home in Valley.
