Janice Hodges-Hudson, 77, passed away, Thursday, October 1, 2026, in Valley, Alabama.
She was born, January 20, 1949, in West Point, Georgia, to the late Houston Jay Hill and the late Beatrice Shepard Hill.
Other than her parents, Janice is preceded in death by, son, Victor Hodges and daughter, Charla Abercrombie.
Survivors include her children Twyla Hodges Robinson, Jonathan Hodges (Diane), Krystal Hodges Bracknell, brother, Iverson Hill, sister, Hilda Hill Branning (Woody), lifelong best friend, Glenda Stodghill, grandchildren, Amanda Martin, Stephen Hodges, Nicolis Hodges, Kevin Abercrombie, Brittany Howard (Blake), Brandon Brown (Jordan), Lane Hodges (Camille) Hodges, Joshua Adamson (Shania), Mariah Hoppee (Chase), Sage Harry (Trevor), Tristan Jackson, and eleven great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held Monday, October 5, 2026, at 2:30 P.M. (EST), in the chapel of Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home in Valley, Alabama. Brother Gary McNeily officiating.
Interment will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery, Lanett, Alabama.
Visitation will be Sunday, October 4, 2026, from 5:00 P.M. (EST) until 7:00 P.M. (EST) at the funeral home.
