William Oscar Pinkston, 80, of Reeltown, Alabama, passed away on April 10, 2026, at his home, surrounded by his loved ones. He was born on August 1, 1945, in Tallapoosa County, Alabama.

Funeral Service will be Tuesday, April 14, 2026 at Lebanon Baptist Church with visitation starting at 11:30an, funeral service at 12:30pm and interment following the service at Lebanon Baptist Church Cemetery.

William proudly served many years as a United States Marine. He was a man who found great joy in simple things, especially woodworking and whittling. He took pride in working with his hands, creating pieces that will be cherished by his family for years to come. He will be remembered for his quiet strength, kind heart, and the deep love he had for his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Claudia Francis Baker Pinkston and Joseph Elijah Pinkston; his son, Billy Carl Pinkston; his sisters, Nellie Sue Smith, Winnie Mae Fowler, Marie Mann, and Sarah Jo Keesey; and his brothers, Woodrow Pinkston, Lowell Pinkston, and Gaines Pinkston.

William is survived by his loving wife, Glenda Jean Pinkston; his children, Kathy Pinkston, Michelle (Johnny) McDonald, Joe (Marsha) Pinkston, Gene (Connie) Pinkston, and Jane (Tim) James; his grandchildren, Hope (Tyrone) Davis, Jonathon (Brittney) McDonald, Ryan James, Brittni (Tyler) Moran, Hallie (James) Peters, Heather (Marcos) Branham, Winnie Nicole (Justin) Brown, Emily (Logan) Webster, Michael (Lea Lea) Pinkston, Mitchell (Anna) Pinkston, Ricky (Amanda) Bolan, and Linda (Mikey) Hallmark; his brother, Donnie Pinkston; his sister, Wanda (Chester) Neighbors; 28 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
