Thomas “Britt” Johnson, age 38, passed away on August 28, 2026, after a courageous battle with terminal pancreatic cancer. Britt was a beloved husband, father, son, brother, grandson, uncle, and friend. He leaves behind his wife, Kodie, his daughters, Claire and Daisey and his bonus daughter, Novalynn who were among the greatest loves of his life.
He is survived by his mother, Joanna Johnson, and stepfather, Cody Weldon; his father, Thomas G. Johnson III “Bubba”, and stepmother “Bonus Mom”, Mandy Johnson, and his siblings, Joseph Johnson, Hunter Johnson, Jena Creed, Cole Johnson, and Jace Weldon. He is also survived by his grandfather, Bob Conrad, and grandmother, Sandra Johnson; aunts and uncles, Michelle Smith and Uncle Jay, Jessica Conrad, R.J. Conrad, Cassie and James; as well as his beloved nieces, nephews, extended family, and lifelong friends.
Britt was preceded in death by his grandmother, Tonya Conrad; granny, Laurie G. Simpson. grandfathers, Forrest White and Tommy “TJ” Johnson, and his great-grandparents.
Britt loved life and the simple things that brought him joy. He was a devoted Alabama football fan, loved fishing, and especially enjoyed watching cartoon movies with his daughters. He had a curious spirit and enjoyed learning new recipes, trying new foods, and sharing those experiences with family and friends.
Britt also leaves behind lifelong friends who shared years of laughter, adventures, and unforgettable memories.
To those who knew him, Britt was more than a friend—he was family. Though his life was far too short, Britt leaves behind a lifetime of love, laughter, and memories. His daughters will carry his love with them, his family will treasure the moments they shared, and his friends will forever remember the person he was. His illness may have taken him from this world, but it will never define the life he lived or the love he gave.
A Celebration of Bitt’s life will be held, 2:30 P.M. (EST), Tuesday, September 1, 2026, in the chapel of Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home in Valley. Pastor Taylor Pike will officiate.
Visitation will be held, 6:00 P.M. (EST) until 8:00 P.M. (EST), Monday, August 31, 2026 at the funeral home.
