It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Paul Lee Griffith, a beloved father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend. Paul departed this world on August 31, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love, craftsmanship, and dedication that will be missed by all who had the privilege to know him.
Born on January 13, 1967, in Lee County, Alabama, Paul was the cherished son of Helen and Chris Griffith. Growing up in a family that valued hard work and community, Paul developed a passion for woodworking that would become a defining aspect of his life. Over a remarkable 35-year career, he honed his skills in cabinetry, leaving a tangible mark of beauty and functionality in countless homes.
Paul was a man of steadfast principles and simple pleasures. He found joy in the roar of Auburn football games, the thrill of Talladega racing, and the soothing waves of Panama City Beach. Yet, above all else, his greatest love was for his family, particularly his children and grandchildren.
Paul’s memory will be carried on by his devoted mother, Helen Burdette Griffith; his son, Taylor Griffith; his daughter, Kylie Ray and her husband Kenny; and his grandchildren, Reagan, Hadley, and Emery Griffith, as well as Jacob, Ryder, Lonnie, and Kenzie Ray. He is also survived by his sister, Linda Minor; his aunt, Deborah Sasser; nephews, Christopher Griffith, Trenton Griffith, and Justin Minor; and a multitude of great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, and other extended family members.
Paul was preceded in death by his father, Chris Griffith; his grandparents, Rebecca and Joe Burdette, Ruby Lee Starnes, and Willie Lee Griffith; and his uncle, Joey Burdette. These cherished family members undoubtedly welcomed him with open arms into the next life.
In honoring Paul’s memory, we celebrate a life well-lived, filled with the warmth of family, the satisfaction of a job well done, and the unwavering loyalty to those he loved. While our hearts are heavy with his absence, we find comfort in the memories that will forever live on.
