OPELIKA, Ala. – The Opelika Police Department is requesting the public’s assistance in identifying two suspects wanted in connection with an Organized Retail Theft at TJ Maxx, located at 2185 Tiger Town Parkway.
The incident occurred on Wednesday, May 13, 2026. Surveillance footage shows a Black female entering the business at 3:48 p.m. and selecting several articles of clothing. She took the items into a dressing room, where she cut off the security tags and concealed the merchandise inside her purse. She then exited the store with the stolen apparel. At 4:19 p.m., a Black male entered the store pushing a shopping cart containing a bag of clothing. He walked to the kitchen appliance aisle, selected an All-Clad electric kettle valued at approximately $80.00, and placed it in his cart. The male suspect then attempted to fraudulently obtain a cash refund for both the clothing and the kettle, but was denied by store staff.
The female is seen wearing what appears to be a Von Dutch pullover and pink pants. The male is wearing all-black clothing and a white Atlanta Braves baseball cap.
