Mr. Richard Tucker was born to the parentage of John Abner, Sr. and Lucille Brown Tucker on May 1, 1963 in Troup County, Georgia. He departed this life on Thursday, May 7, 2026 at his residence in Opelika, Alabama.
He accepted Christ as his Lord and Saviour at an early age. He was a product of the Troup County School System. Richard was a member of New Love Union Baptist where he served faithfully as an usher. Richard later moved to Opelika, AL, and moved his membership to St. James Missionary Baptist Church where the Rev. L. W. Booker is the pastor.
Acts of service was how Richard expressed his love. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends and would especially dote on the youth in the family, whom he would call his “chickadees”.
