Mr. David Lee Floyd, Sr. 82 of Valley, AL passed away on Wednesday, May 27, 2026.
Public Visitation will be held on Monday, June 1, 2026 from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM EST at Silmon-Seroyer Funeral Home Chapel in LaFayette and from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM EST at St. Stephens CME Church in Valley, AL.
Mr. Floyd will lie in repose at the church one hour prior to the funeral service.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, June 2, 2026, 1:00 PM EST at St. Stephens CME Church in Valley, AL, Pastor Larry Threatts, Eulogist, Reverend James Q. Smith, Officiating.
Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery in Valley, AL.
Mr. Floyd is survived by two loving and devoted daughters; Betty (Cleveland) King, Valley, AL and Stephanie Floyd, Valley, AL; eight grandchildren: Monique (Marcus) Fuller, Opelika, AL, Markedrick Floyd, Staten Island, NY, Tiffany (Tierra) Floyd, Jonesboro, GA, Brandon Lee, Louisville, KY, Kamira Floyd, West Point, GA, Khadijah Trammell, Lanett, AL, Lakendra Floyd, West Point, GA, and India Floyd, Auburn, AL, great-grandchildren: Micah Fuller, Olivia Huguley, Omari Jackson, Onyx Floyd, La’Xayden Phillips, Aubree Trammell, Ava Trammell, A’Laiya Trammell and Jamarco Trammell; sisters: Ida Floyd, Chicago, IL and Edith Coleman, Birmingham, AL, brothers-in-law; Phillip Summers, Cusseta, AL, Eddie Joe Dunn and Johnny Lee Dunn, Cusseta, AL; godson: Steven (Kearran) Finch; bonus sons: Robert (Regina) Chambers and Dan (Tashara) Horton, family-in-love: Mr. and Mrs. Willie Thomas and Family; bonus grandsons: Kenyea Ware, Jamal Ware, and Jacolley Boyd; dedicated niece: Mershelia (Rodney) Heard; dedicated nephews: Roy (Nettie) Chambers and Randy Floyd, loving and devoted caregivers: Shelia Ballard and Vernita Thompson and a great host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
