Mr. Michael Story Woods, 65 of Roanoke, AL passed away on Saturday, August 29, 2026.
Public Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 3, 2026 from 1:00 until 6:00 PM CST at Silmon-Seroyer Funeral Home in LaFayette, AL.
Mr. Woods will lie in repose at the church one hour prior to the funeral service.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, September 4, 2026, 1:00 PM CST at Canaan Missionary Baptist Church (Welch Community) Roanoke, AL, Pastor Calvin Trammell, Eulogist, Rev. L.B. Houston, Officiating.
Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
Mr. Woods leaves to cherish his memories, wife Priscilla Appleby Woods, daughter, Tameka (Boonie) Shealey, sons, Mekeldric Shealey, Kelvin Appleby and Kerry Pogue; fifteen grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brothers, Lyndon Baine (Helen) Woods and Stanley Hooks; sisters: Carrie Copeland (Curtis), Agatha (Richard) Dyson, Agnes (Donald) Page, Debbie (Hugh) Hunter, Dianne Foster, Hattie Brooks, Lemerle Gunn, Irene (Jerry) Roundtree, Jessie Mae (Godfrey) Griffin, Shelia (Sanders) Higgins and Dianne Phillips; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
