April 30, 1948 ~ September 1, 2026 (age 78)

Judith Inez Adams Morgan passed away, in Opelika, Alabama, on Tuesday, September 1, 2026, at the age of 78.

Inez was born April 30th, 1948, to her wonderful parents, J.W. Adams and Margaret Brooks Adams, along with her faithful and devoted twin sister, Julia Irene Adams Whitlow, and also joining her older sister, Margaret Maxine Adams Sanders.

During her school years she was interested in learning and making good grades and she graduated from Chambers County High School (Milltown). One highlight was having spend-the-night parties with all the girls that could make it to their house for her mother’s good cooking.

During her teenage years, she was often singing with her mother and sisters in different church activities and also enjoyed Gospel music throughout her life. She always loved attending church as much as she could.

Inez was employed at Clegg’s Shirt Factory in Wadley, Alabama from 1966 to 1972; then, at Playtex in LaFayette, Alabama until 1975. Later, she was the cafeteria manager at Lee-Scott Academy from 1989-2000 where she prepared 300 homemade biscuits daily for the students.

Even when she saw former students later in life, they always mentioned her delicious biscuits!

Her heart was in her kitchen cooking for family and other loved ones. She was a very good seamstress and from her youth on, she always made her own dresses, and sewed for others, as well. Inez always had a friendly and outgoing personality. She enjoyed her sense of humor laughing with others. Some of her favorite past times were reading, especially her Bible, and other devotional books; talking on her home phone (especially with Irene sharing their twin secrets and recipes), and other friends of the community; keeping up with the world news and praying for the situations; sending and receiving her carefully selected Christmas cards from her friends far and near and also ordering special gifts from her catalog collection.

On September 15, 1972, Inez married the love of her life, Byron Wayne Morgan, and they were abundantly blessed with two special children, Simon Peter Morgan (Elizabeth) and Rachel Nell Morgan (Jay-Jay Jones). They always lived in Beulah, Alabama. They were also blessed later with three lovely and precious granddaughters: Shelby Morgan Pierce (Tristan Hawkins), twins: Lillian Faith Teel and Laurel Hope Teel, who she loved so dearly.

Inez persevered for 29 years with the ravages of Lupus and Rheumatoid Arthritis, taking its toll on her body, but without ever changing her radiant spirit. Until we are reunited in Heaven, Inez will certainly be missed by all who knew her, for her friendly and outgoing Christian personality.
