Hal Dewayne Bradsher, 69, of Auburn, Alabama, passed away on September 6, 2026. He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Packard Bradsher, and his children: Melanie Bradsher Koewler (Robert), Hal Dewayne Bradsher, Jr. (Taylor), Elizabeth Bradsher Long (Alan), and Joseph Donovan Bradsher. He leaves behind a proud legacy through his four grandchildren: Emma Violet Long, James Timothy Koewler, Nicholas Hal Koewler, and Lucas Theodore Long. He is also survived by his mother, Betty Burnette Bradsher, and siblings Debra Jean Schultz (the late Robert), James Victor Bradsher, Michael Jay Bradsher (Angie), and his brother-in-law Robin Boutwell (Charlotte). Hal also had a close friendship with his brother-in-law, Chris Cornelius.
Hal was preceded in death by his father, James Darling Bradsher, and his sister, Angela Michelle Boutwell.
Hal was born on April 17, 1957 in Montgomery, Alabama. He was married to his loving wife for 40 years. He loved the Lord, his family and pets, and had a passion for hunting, fishing, tinkering with cars, Auburn football, and Atlanta Braves baseball. He was a faithful member of Parkway Baptist Church. Hal’s career with the Alabama Department of Examiners of Public Accounts spanned 35 years, and he retired as the Director of Higher Education Audits in 2021.
A visitation and Celebration of Life will be held on September 20, 2026 at Parkway Baptist Church in Auburn, Alabama. The visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. followed by the service at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Camp ASCCA or Parkway Baptist Church in Hal’s memory.
