Mrs. Doris Jean Goodman, 75 of Dadeville, AL passed away on Wednesday, August 26, 2026.
Public Visitation will be held on Monday, August 31, 2026 from 1:00 PM until 6:00 PM CST at Silmon-Seroyer Funeral Home Chapel in LaFayette, AL.
Mrs. Goodman will lie in repose at the church one hour prior to the funeral service.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, September 1, 2026, 12:00 PM CST at Baskin Chapel Church in Dadeville, AL, Rev. Jerome Spence, Pastor/Officiating; Rev. Justin M. Freeman, Eulogist.
Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Goodman leaves to cherish her memories to her children, Kevin Goodman, Teneeshia (James) Johnson, and Demetrius Stowe, the granddaughter she lovingly raised as her own, Heidi Silmon, her grandchildren, Jalyn Johnson, Makiya Johnson, Ari, Gabby, and Ava Stowe; her great-grandchildren, Jalyn, Jr. and Jessiah; her bonus daughters, Arietha and Kathy Goodman; a god-daughter, Asia Potts, her sisters, Cassandra (Tommy) Hatcher, Anita (Joe) Crayton, and Debra Morgan; her brothers, Darryl Benson, Cedric (Joanne) Benson, and James E. (Sonora) Benson, her aunt, LaSandra Hatcher; her sister-in-law, Ethel Pearl (Mike) Adair; brothers-in-law, Jimmy Frank (Betty) Goodman and Theodore (Janie) Goodman; her devoted friends, Dora Patterson and Rebecca Jennings; her girls, Nicole Woody, Sheronda Cross and Toni Cross; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, church family, friends, and members of the Councill High Class of 1969.
