On Friday, Lanett City Schools announced the hiring of Cedric Bullard II as Director of Bands for grades 7–12.

To my former teachers, professors, mentors, principals, fellow directors, students, and colleagues—thank you for pouring into me, believing in me, and helping shape me into the educator and musician I am today.
A special thank you to everyone who gave me opportunities to learn, grow, lead rehearsals, and gain valuable experience throughout the years. From student teaching, long-term positions, and working alongside amazing directors, every experience has prepared me for this moment.
I also want to thank my family and friends for their constant encouragement, prayers, and support through every challenge and milestone. Your belief in me has meant more than words can express.
I am truly excited to begin building relationships, growing the band program, and making music with the amazing students and community of Lanett City Schools. The future is bright, and I cannot wait to get started”, said Bullardin in a social media post.
