Carolyn Margaret Strong, age 72, of Lanett, Alabama, passed away on April 18, 2026. She was born on June 9, 1953, in Ft. Payne, Alabama, and lived a life marked by love, kindness, and devotion to her family and friends.

Carolyn was a loving and kind woman whose presence brought comfort and warmth to those around her. She was known for the care she gave so freely and for the steady, gentle way she touched the lives of others. Her family was the center of her world, and she found great joy in the simple, meaningful moments shared with those she loved.

She is survived by her husband, Johnny Strong; her daughters, Tina (Willie) Culpepper and Katrina Strong; her brother, Russell Huddleston; her granddaughters, Tabitha Strong, Erica Evans, Alyssa Strong, Megan Strong, Elia Strong, and Kristin Varner; her grandsons, Steven Strong, Lander Chappell, Phillip Chappell, and Matthew Strong; eighteen great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Carolyn treasured each member of her family and took great pride in being a grandmother and great-grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy Huddleston and Mavis Huddleston, and by her son, Johnny Strong, Jr. Their memories remained close to her heart throughout her life, and she carried their love with her always.

Carolyn enjoyed many things in life, but few brought her more happiness than cheering for Alabama Football. She loved the excitement of the game and the fellowship that came with it. She also loved dancing, and she carried herself with a spirit that reflected joy and grace. Above all, she loved being a grandmother, and that role was one of the greatest blessings of her life.

Those who knew Carolyn will remember her for her loving heart, her kind spirit, and the deep devotion she showed to her family. Her legacy lives on in the lives she helped shape, the memories she created, and the love she gave so generously. Though she will be deeply missed, her family and friends will continue to hold her close in their hearts and cherish the many ways she made their lives brighter.

Carolyn Margaret Strong will be remembered with love and gratitude by all who were blessed to know her. Her life was a testament to the strength of family, the beauty of kindness, and the lasting power of love.

Funeral services for Mrs. Carolyn will be held on Wednesday, April 22nd, 2026, at 2:30 PM (EDT) at the Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home Chapel in Valley. Mrs. Carolyn’s family will receive friends Wednesday afternoon from 1:30 PM (EDT) until the service hour.
