Alan Lee, a lifelong resident of Opelika, Alabama, passed away peacefully on September 17, 2026, at the age of 58. Born on July 30, 1968, in Opelika, Alan dedicated his life to serving his community and his country with unwavering commitment and integrity.

After graduating from Opelika High School, Alan joined the Alabama Army National Guard, where he served with honor and distinction. His dedication to public service continued throughout his professional career. In 1990, Alan began working with the Opelika Water Works Board, where he devoted 33 years of exemplary service. He retired as the Capital Projects Manager, leaving behind a legacy of dedication and hard work within the City of Opelika’s Engineering Department.

Alan is survived by his beloved wife, Gina Johnson Lee. He leaves behind a loving family, including his brother, James Lee, and sister-in-law, Valerie Lee; his sister, Marie James; and his brother-in-law, John Anglin, and sister-in-law, Terry Anglin. Alan is survived by his nieces and nephews: David Allen Tredwell and Shelton Lee, Michael James, Madison Yates, Zachary Anglin (Hannah), Nicholas Anglin, and Carri Johnson. He is also survived by his sister-in-laws: Myra Johnson, and Jo Crawford, brother-in-law Scott Crawford.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, September 26, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Jeffcoat-Trant Funeral Home, followed by a memorial service at 11:00 a.m. at the same location. Family, friends, and all those whose lives were touched by Alan are invited to attend and celebrate his life and legacy.

Alan Lee will be remembered for his steadfast dedication to his family, his community, and his country. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to Auburn Bethany House or to Providence Baptist Church.
