Funeral service for Clara Copeland, 72, of Opelika, AL, will be at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, November 7, 2026, at Harris Funeral Home Chapel with interment in Evergreen Cemetery, 1409 Monroe Avenue, Opelika, AL, 36801, Reverend Troy Clark will officiate.
Mrs. Copeland, who passed away Wednesday, October 28, 2026 at her home in Opelika, Alabama, was born October 18, 1954, in Lee County, Alabama.
Public viewing will be Friday, November 6, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
She leaves to cherish her memory: husband, Roger Copeland of Opelika, AL; two children, Darryl (Alice) Gopher of Salem, AL and Reginald Collier of Arlington, TX; three step-children, Daphane McQueen, Michelle Bolden and Shante Smith all of Valley, AL; nine grandchildren Darryl V. Gopher, QuaDaryl Q. Atkinson, Kimberly S. Atkinson, Ladarrius M. (Angel Irvin) Gopher, Darian D. Gopher, Reginald L. Collier, Jr., Kanesha TA. Collier, Shemar L. Collier, Mekhi J. Collier; one sister, Debra Reese of Birmingham, AL; three brothers, Willie James Goffer, Ricky Goffer both of Birmingham, AL and Bradley Gopher of Opelika, AL; one aunt, Bernice Ross of Birmingham, AL; a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
