Timothy “Tim” Vinson, age 74, of Beulah, Alabama, went home to be with the Lord on October 25, 2026, at home surrounded by his family. He was born on March 26, 1952, in Langdale, Alabama, and lived a life marked by faith, devotion, and a deep love for the people closest to him.

Tim was known by those who loved him as an intelligent, thoughtful, and faith-filled man. He carried those qualities into every part of his life, and family and friends remember him as someone who led with kindness, steady strength, and a sincere concern for others. He was a man who valued simple joys, meaningful time together, and the blessing of a close-knit family.

He was a devoted husband to his wife, Janet, and a proud father to Shannon Adams and her husband Virgil, Jason Vinson (Lisa), Brandi Ripple and her husband Jimmy, Sherri Aldridge and her husband Shawn, Christopher Beck and his wife Ashley, Dixie Hines, and Tori Edgar and her husband J.B. His family was the center of his world, and he took great pride in each of his children and the lives they built.

Tim was also a cherished grandfather to Dalton Harper and his wife Cassidy, Jacob Harper and his wife Claire, Elaina Adams, Caitlin Adams, Daniel Adams, Mathew Adams, Jaycee Vinson and her husband Tyler, Ella Vinson, Ariana Rodriguez, Andrew Ripple, Chloe Aldridge, Madison Cotney, Parker Aldridge, Audrey Bannister and her husband Bryce, Ethan Miller, Bailee Beck, Eli Beck, Henley Hines, Henry Hines, Jules Edgar, Josie Edgar, and Jade Edgar. He was blessed even further by his great-grandchildren, Amelia, Murphy, Vera, Reed, and Kollins, all of whom brought him great joy.

He is also survived by his sisters, Janice Gaston and her husband Dwight, and Judy Shears and her husband Barry. Tim was preceded in death by his parents, Horace and Dorothy “Mama Dot” Vinson, whose memory remained an important part of his life.

Tim was a faithful member of Pine Grove Church and also attended Ridge Road Baptist Church. He loved going to church, and his faith was a guiding force throughout his life. He was also known for having a green thumb and enjoyed spending time growing flowers, a hobby that reflected both his patience and his appreciation for beauty and life.

Outside of church and home, Tim found happiness in the moments that brought his family together. He loved taking family trips to Florida, and going out to eat with his family was one of his favorite things to do. More than anything, he treasured time with the people he loved, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who held a very special place in his heart.

Tim Vinson will be remembered as a man of faith, family, and quiet strength. His life left a lasting impression on all who knew him, and his memory will continue to live on in the hearts of those who loved him most.
