Funeral service for Kimberly Benford, 55, of Opelika, AL, will be at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, August 27, 2026, at Southside Church of Christ, 405 Carver Avenue, Opelika, AL, 36801 with interment in Evergreen Cemetery, 1409 Monroe Avenue, Opelika, AL, 36801, Brother Willie Whack will officiate.

Mrs. Benford, who passed away Thursday, August 20, 2026 at the East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika, Alabama, was born December 24, 1970, in Lee County, Alabama.

Public viewing will be Wednesday, August 26, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.

Mrs. Benford will lie in repose at the church one hour prior to the service.

She will be missed so much by: her husband, Arthur Charles Benford of Opelika, AL; her loving parents, Melvin and Mary Driver of Opelika, AL; three sisters, Arnicia Driver of Birmingham, AL, Ayanna Card of Stone Mountain, GA and Shwanda Buchanon of Hoover, AL; two special sisters, Amelia Doolittle and Cindy Caldwell both of Opelika, AL; two brothers, Dominic (Lorraine) Driver of Monroe, GA and Sam (Sarah) Trammell of Opelika, AL; a special niece that she considered a daughter, Courtney (Justin) Baker of Birmingham, AL; a god-sister, Marley Jackson of Opelika, AL; a special cousin that she considered a niece, Crystal (Shawn) Sanford; two step-sons, Cortez (Alice) Brundage and Gary (Kanesha) Robinson both of Opelika, AL; three aunts, Lynda (Roy) Morris, Daisy Tidwell and Christine Driver all of Opelika, AL; four uncles, James Driver, Randy (Faye) Driver, John Tidwell and Eddie (Juniel) Tidwell all of Opelika, AL; her ride or die friend, Sandra Miles; a host of cousins, friends, family and the Fresenius Dialysis family.

The family of the late Mrs. Kimberly Michelle Drive Benford acknowledges with grateful appreciation all acts of kindness, prayers, cards, telephone calls, flowers and words of comfort extended to us during our time of bereavement. May God bless each one of you.
