OPELIKA, Ala. – On July 22, 2026, at approximately 10:41 a.m., officers responded to the Boost Mobile store located at 1909 Pepperell Parkway in reference to a burglary.

Surveillance footage revealed that a suspect entered the business at approximately 3:35 a.m. and stole over $10,000 worth of merchandise before fleeing the scene.

Through the course of the investigation, detectives identified 50-year-old Michael Deshawn Browan Bridges as the suspect.

On July 23, 2026, detectives executed a search warrant in the 1400 block of S. Long Street. During the search, officers located Bridges and recovered a portion of the stolen property.

Bridges was taken into custody and booked into the Lee County Justice Center for Burglary, Third Degree, and Theft of Property, First Degree.
