Wanda Ann Davis was more than a beloved mother, family member and friend – she was a real-life hero. While the world saw her radiant smile, and generous heart, those closest to her witnessed the quiet courage and strength that defined her life She was a silent warrior in every sense of the word, facing life’s fiercest storms without ever allowing her own struggles to overshadow the blessings she so gratefully embraced.
Wanda had an extraordinary gift for loving deeply and faithfully. Her unwavering love and support were constant sources of strength and inspiration to all who knew her. She offered endless encouragement, wise guidance, and a steadfast belief in the people she loved. She taught those around her that faith and kindness are our greatest superpowers, and she lived that truth every day.
She was the most beautiful soul-the very heart and center of her family. To know Wanda was to feel supported, challenged, and cherished all at once. She was an encourager and a straight talker, devoted and fiercely loyal to her family and friends. She believed in pulling yourself up, getting to work, and meeting life head-on with determination and grace. Her motivation lifted others higher than they thought possible.
Wanda was also a remarkably talented artist who brought her love, faith, and life experiences to vivid expression through her paintings, ornaments, and countless creative works. Her art reflected her spirit-thoughtful, vibrant, and full of meaning- leaving behind tangible pieces of her heart for her family to treasure.
The lake was her happy place. Whether fishing or simply sitting by the water, she found peace there – a reflection of the calm strength she carried within. Yet above all else, Wanda loved her family more than anything on earth. They were her greatest joy, her proudest accomplishment, and the focus of her every prayer and effort.
Wanda is preceded in death by her mother, Zora Nadean Smith and grandmother, Stella Lee Smith.
She is survived by her husband, Lamar Davis; daughter, Marlee Clifton (William) and her children: Landee, Analine, and Stevee; daughter, Georgann Davis and her child, Charlee Mac; her brother, Bill Hull (Phyllis) and his children: Nadean and Nick; and her Uncle and Aunt, Jamie and Betty Smith who raised Wanda.
She leaves behind a legacy of faith, resilience, kindness, creativity, and unwavering devotion. Though she may have been a quiet warrior, the impact of her love resounds loudly in the lives she shaped and strengthened.
Wanda Ann Davis was, and always will be, the heart of her family- a constant, an inspiration, and a hero.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, June 24, 2026 beginning at 4:00 PM CST located at First Methodist Church in Opelika, Alabama. Brother Rick Lane will be officiating.
