Gov. Ivey shares Memorial Day message honoring fallen U.S. veterans

Governor Kay Ivey on Friday shared a video message ahead of Memorial day weekend honoring American soldiers who gave the ultimate sacrifice for the country.

In her message, Gov. Ivey reflected on the courage of those who gave their lives and encouraged Alabamians to remember to true meaning of Memorial Day as families across the state gather to honor loved ones lost.

“Memorial Day is sacred ground,” she said. “As we gather Memorial Day, let us do more than remember their sacrifice. Let us live worthy of it.”

The governor ended her message by encouraging people to “love this country Boldly,” and never forget the price paid for it.
