Funeral service for Cecil Trimble, 78, of Opelika, AL, will be at 1:00 p.m., Friday, May 8, 2026, at Harris Funeral Home Chapel, 515 South 6th Street, Opelika, AL, with interment in Garden Hills Cemetery, 1218 Frederick Road, Opelika, AL, 36801. Bishop Charles Pink, Officiating, Bishop Larry Torbert, Eulogist.
Mr. Trimble, who passed away Thursday, April 30, 2026, at his home in Opelika, Alabama, was born October 22, 1947, in Lee County, Alabama.
Public viewing will be on Thursday, May 7, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 pm.
He leaves to cherish his memory: his devoted wife, Mae Jean Trimble; three children, Cecilia Trimble, LaToya Trimble and Cecil Lee Trimble III all of Opelika, AL; a cousin as a brother, Bishop Larry (Elder Anna) Torbert of Opelika, AL; sister-in-law, Dorothy (Bishop Charles) Pink of Holyoke, MA; two nieces, Tuwana (Carl) Milford of Opelika, AL and Veronica (Alvin) Thibodeaux of Lithonia, GA; three nephews, Vaygen (Alesha) Trimble of Spring Hill, TN, Vonroyce (Christina) Trimble and Vavion Cooper of Opelika, AL; a host of great-nieces; great-nephews, cousins and many friends.
