OPELIKA, Ala. – The City of Opelika, in partnership with PRF Teaching Ministry (PRF Institute), is proud to announce the launch of the Financial Readiness Clinic (Opelika) – FY2025 Q3 Series, a community-based initiative designed to help individuals and families move from financial uncertainty to long-term financial stability.
The Financial Readiness Clinics are the next phase of the Opelika Financial Health Initiative (OFHI), a strategic partnership between the City of Opelika and PRF Teaching Ministry established to expand access to financial education, coaching, and financial stabilization resources across the community.
“This initiative reflects our ongoing commitment to strengthening the financial well-being of Opelika residents,” said Mayor Eddie Smith. “Through the Opelika Financial Health Initiative, we are continuing to invest in practical solutions that meet people where they are and provide pathways toward long-term stability.”
Since FY2022, the City of Opelika’s investment in PRF Teaching Ministry through the Opelika Financial Health Initiative has produced significant community impact, generating approximately a 13.5x return on investment and more than $5.4 million in direct economic impact for Opelika residents.

JeQuetta Canady, Program Coordinator for PRF Institute, highlighted the participant experience and accessibility of the program. “These sessions are designed to be both practical and approachable. We want participants to leave each session with something they can immediately apply, while also understanding that there is continued support available as they move forward.”
The Financial Readiness Clinic serves as an entry point into a broader financial readiness system, which includes additional labs and personalized coaching opportunities for participants seeking deeper engagement and long-term progress.
