AUBURN-OPELIKA, Ala. — One of Opelika’s favorite community traditions returns Saturday, June 6, as the 12th Annual Burger Wars takes over downtown Opelika with a full day of burgers, friendly competition, and community impact. Hosted by the Opelika Rotary Club Charitable Foundation, the event brings together local grill teams, restaurants, businesses, and supporters for a family-friendly competition benefiting local nonprofits and community initiatives.

Beginning at 11 a.m. in downtown Opelika, Burger Wars will feature teams competing across multiple divisions, including Amateur Tailgater, Corporate, and Pro categories. Attendees will have the opportunity to sample burgers from participating teams and vote for their favorites while enjoying the lively downtown atmosphere.

“This event has become such a special tradition for Opelika because it brings people together for a great cause,” said Burger Wars Chair Brooke Kastner. “Burger Wars is about community, supporting local nonprofits and creating an experience people look forward to every year.”

Tasting tickets will be available for purchase onsite beginning the morning of the event and typically sell out quickly. Guests are encouraged to arrive early to enjoy the full experience and cast their votes for the coveted Crowd Favorite awards.
