August 25, 1943 ~ November 13, 2025 (age 82)

Weymon Craig Moore of Valley entered into Heaven to meet his Lord Jesus Christ on November 13th, 2025, at his home. He was 82 years old.

Weymon was born to parents, Johnnie and Catherine Moore on August 25th, 1943. He was a lifelong resident of the Valley area. He retired from UPS after thirty years of service as a package delivery driver. He didn’t really retire though, he was just getting started. He worked another 24 years locally as a carpenter and handyman.

Weymon is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Carol Moore; two sons, Craig Moore and wife, Angie, of Valley and Scott Moore and wife, Leslie, of Lexington, KY; four grandchildren, Cole, Beth, Hayden and Hudson Moore; two sisters, Susan Thompson and Pam Cox.

Weymon devoted his life to serving others. He served as a church youth leader, deacon, Sunday school teacher, and as a member of Carpenters for Christ. He was also faithful to many charitable causes such as the Christian Service Center.

Finally, Weymon was a faithful husband and father until the end. He loved and cared for his wife with everything he had. He lived everyday trying to help his children and grandchildren with any and all needs. He will be missed greatly, but we’re thankful that he is in Heaven and we know that all who are saved will see him again one day.

Funeral services for Weymon will be held on Monday, November 17th, 2025, at 2:30 PM (EST) at the Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home Chapel in Valley. Interment will follow in Johnson Memorial Gardens. Weymon’s family will receive friends Sunday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 PM (EST) at the Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home in Valley.
