Mr. Walter Coleman Williams, age 77, of Lanett, Alabama, passed away on January 8, 2026, together with his beloved wife of 34 years, Patricia Ellen Burdette Williams, at their residence. Mr. Williams was born on September 3, 1948, to the late Murray and Helen Williams of Valley, Alabama.
Coleman is survived by his sister, Sharon Self of Columbus, Georgia, daughter, Kim LaPointe of South Carolina and grandchildren Taylor and Austin Baugh.
Coleman proudly served in the United States Marine Corps, worked at West Point Pepperell and was a member of the Langdale Methodist Church. He was an animal lover, bodybuilder and avid cyclist. Coleman’s beloved pet, Smokey, will be buried alongside him.
Funeral services for Coleman, and his wife Ellen, will be held on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, at 2:30 PM (EST) at the graveside in Fairfax Cemetery, Magnolia St, Valley, Alabama. Pastor Todd Owen will officiate. Coleman and Ellen’s family will receive friends in the cemetery following the service.
