The Lanett Police Department Criminal Investigation Division issued arrest warrants for both Jarod Moreland and Dantavious Davidson in connection with the death of Karl Scott.
Both Subjects were arrested Dantavious M. Davidson 29 of Valley, AL was arrested on 11/13/2023 in connection with Karl O. Scott Homicide.
Jarod L. Moreland 35, of Lanett, AL was arrested on 12/14/2023 for unrelated drug charges and also in connection to Karl O. Scott Homicide. Both Subjects are being held without Bond at the Chambers County Jail awaiting Trail.
On 11/05/2023 at approximately 1:46 AM Officers of the Lanett Police Department were dispatched to the 800 Block of North 12th Ave in Lanett, AL in reference to a gunshot victim.
Upon arrival Karl O. Scott Jr. was located in a bedroom of the residence with multiple gunshot wounds. Scott was transported from the scene by Lanett EMS and transported to a regional medical center, where he succumbed to his injuries.
