April 9, 1952 ~ February 22, 2026 (age 73)

Thomas (Tom) Louis Cordi was set free from the confines of his earthly body and passed peacefully at home on February 22, 2026, held close by his son and wife, to join the saints who’ve gone before us.

Tom was born in Endicott. NY, but fondly called Owego, NY, and Birmingham, AL his childhood homes. He graduated from Owego Free Academy and then attended Rochester Institute of Technology. He worked in the oil industry in Louisiana before moving to Auburn in 1987. Tom graduated from Southern Union and became a registered nurse at East Alabama Medical Center. While working as a nurse, he built his mobile home park, Arrowhead, from the ground up. Arrowhead flourished into a successful business under Tom’s watchful eye and he soon opened a second park, Arrowhead II. He owned and managed his two parks for nearly 20 years and sold them in 2021. He spent his retirement in the Philippines before returning to the US for cancer treatment.

Tom is preceded in passing by his parents Bruno D. Cordi, Josephine Harris Cordi and his late wife, Amanda Aaron Cordi. He is survived by his wife Marietta; son Anthony Cordi; step-daughters Amy, Fionna and Marian; step-son Jon Mar; brothers Jim Cordi (Linda), Joe Cordi (Karen) and Larry Cordi (Lisa); sister Rosemary Winters (Ben); nephews Joe Cordi, Stephen Cordi, Brian Winters, Michael Winters and Dominick Cordi; nieces Jamie Winters, Amanda Greber, Lauren Higgins and Brianna Cordi. Also, numerous nieces and nephews and brothers in law from the Villanueva and Aaron families.

Tom’s family struggles to find words to truly thank all those who stood shoulder to shoulder with them and helped them stay strong throughout Tom’s journey to the end of his earthly life. To the nurses and staff of the EAMC Spencer Cancer Center, EAMC ICU and Dr. Brandon Johnson – please know that we are forever grateful for your kindness, efforts and skills. We also want to thank three of Tom’s closest friends, Tommy Hadaway, Bud Smith and Junjie Baltazar who gave their time and effort to help care for Tom and lift his spirits when our need was the greatest.
