October 11, 1942 ~ December 20, 2024 (age 82)

Mrs. Ruby Kelley Gray, age 82, of Lanett, Alabama passed away on December 20th, 2024, at East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika, Alabama. She was born on October 11th, 1942 in Chambers County, Alabama.

“Robbie Lee”, “Rob”, and “Granny”, the nicknames lovingly given to her by her family, lived a life of true unconditional love. She would help anyone in need with her quiet, gentle spirit and would open her home to anyone.

She was a Godly woman who loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She was strong in her faith and never gave up hope.

She was always a hard worker and worked until she was 70 years old. She retired from Chalk Line and LaGrange Molded later known as Pretty Products.

Her family was her life. She selflessly loved with her whole heart.

She is survived by her sons, Edward Gray (Sandy), Terry Gray (Lisa); her daughter, Ann Raye (Jeff); grandchildren, Justin Gray, Amber Gray, and Ryan Gray; great grandchildren, Truist Gray and Paisley Gray; sisters, Pat Lankford and Sue May; brother, Freddie Kelley; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Gray; parents, M. V. Kelley and Ruby V. Kelley; brothers, Larry Kelley and Eddie Kelley.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 24th, 2024, at 11:00 AM (EST) at the Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home Chapel in Valley. Interment will follow in Shawmut Cemetery. The Reverend Wayne Prickett and her son, Terry Gray will officiate. Family and friends will be received Tuesday morning one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Flowers will be accepted, or donations may be made to the charity of one’s choice in her memory.
