December 31, 1959 ~ June 22, 2025 (age 65)

Today we remember Ronald Docimo, a beloved husband, father, son, and esteemed law enforcement officer who served his community with dedication and valor. Ronald was born in the picturesque town of Everett, Pennsylvania, on the 31st of December in 1959 and passed away peacefully in Auburn, Alabama, on the 22nd of June 2025.

Ronald, fondly known by those who knew him best, leaves behind a legacy of courage, kindness, and intelligence. A cherished family man, Ronald is survived by his devoted wife, Marianna Docimo; his proud sons, Will Docimo and his partner Chris Anderson, and Mitchell Docimo; his mother, Josephine Brayfield, and Greg, and his father, Ralph Docimo, with his wife Shirley. His legacy also extends to his beloved in-laws, Wilburn and JoAnn Prickett, along with many cousins, nieces, nephews, and his faithful dog, Ruby. His family remembers him as a pillar of strength and love whose memory will forever be enshrined in their hearts.

During his impressive 23-year tenure with the Valley Police Department, Ronald rose through the ranks to retire as Deputy Chief of Police, after which he continued his path in public service as Chief of Police in Lanett. He ended his law enforcement career with the Troup County Sheriff’s Office. He was very grateful for their friendship and support. His commitment to justice and the well-being of his community was unwavering, and he was deeply respected by his law enforcement family for his dedication and leadership.

Beyond his professional achievements, Ronald was a man of many passions. An avid train enthusiast, he took great joy in building detailed model train sets and captured them in photographs to share with fellow hobbyists. His love for his dogs was unparalleled, and his leisure hours were often spent enjoying his favorite science fiction and British shows, as well as films that echoed his career in law enforcement.

Ronald’s engagement with the Boy Scouts of America was yet another testament to his commitment to the youth and his community. He remained actively involved during his son Mitchell’s journey to becoming an Eagle Scout, imparting values of responsibility and service that will continue to thrive in the lives he touched.

Ronald’s life was one of momentous service, personal passions, and unwavering love for his family. As we come together to honor his memory, we take comfort in knowing that his legacy of courage, kindness, and intelligence will continue to inspire all who had the privilege to know him. Ronald Docimo will be profoundly missed, yet his memory will always be a guiding light for those he leaves behind.
