Patsy Renee Hood, of Lafayette, Alabama, passed away on March 28, 2026, in Opelika, Alabama.
She was born to the late Clarence Teel and the late Mary Fuller Teel on December 6, 1956, in Columbus, Georgia. Later in life, Patsy became an acclaimed author and published two children’s books.
Patsy is preceded in death by her brother, Gregory Allen Teel.
She is survived by sons, Michael Brooks and James Huguley; sisters, Lucita Kay Darnell, and Diane Van Houten; brother, Leonard Teel; and grandchild, Taylor Williams.
