Opelika Man Charged with Drug Trafficking

In the spring of 2024, after a two month investigation, Lee County Sheriff’s FAST unit investigators and the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) arrested Tremayne LaKeith Brown (35) from Opelika for Drug Trafficking. Authorities seized approximately 270 grams of Methamphetamine during a search warrant at his residence at the time.

On January 8th 2025, Brown was convicted in the United States District Court, Middle District of Alabama on 2 counts of Possession with intent to Distribute Methamphetamine and was sentenced to 120 months in Federal Prison.
