October 21, 1927 ~ August 4, 2025 (age 97)

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Opal Dean Pike McCrackin, who peacefully left us in her sleep on August 4, 2025, at the age of 97.

She was preceded in death by her husband Belton McCrackin, her son Belton McCrackin Jr., her parents The Reverend and Mrs Paul Pike (Thelma Tittle), sister Sara Willene Pike Bozeman Cain, and brother William Paul Pike Jr. Born on October 21, 1927.

Opal lived a remarkable life defined by her unwavering strength, dedication, and compassionate spirit. Opal was known for her strong character and hardworking nature, qualities that served her well throughout her career as a nurse.

She found deep fulfillment in helping people, dedicating her professional life to caring for others with skill and genuine compassion. Her commitment to healing and service touched countless lives and exemplified her generous heart.

Throughout her long and meaningful life, Opal’s dedication extended beyond her profession to her beloved family and community. Her strength and work ethic were an inspiration to all who knew her, and her legacy of service will continue to live on in the hearts of those she helped.

Opal is survived by her daughter Sharon McCrackin Bledsoe (Carl), grandsons Matt Bledsoe (Lisa) and Mark Bledsoe, three granddaughters and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins, all of whom will cherish her memory forever.

Funeral Service will be held, 11:00 A.M. (EST), Saturday, August 9, 2025, at the Chapel of Johnson-Brown Service Funeral Home with Revered Rusty Letson officiating.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Interment will be held at Johnson Memorial Gardens immediately after the service.
