Mr. Willie F. Gaines, Sr., 83, of LaFayette, AL, passed away on Sunday, February 1, 2026.
Public Visitation will be held on Friday, February 6, 2026, from 1:00 PM until 6:00 PM CST at Silmon-Seroyer Funeral Home Chapel in LaFayette, AL.
Mr. Gaines will lie in state at the church one hour prior to the funeral service.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, February 7, 2026, 12:00 PM CST at Powell Chapel United Methodist Church in LaFayette, AL, Rev. Kelsey Barnes, Pastor | Officiating.
Burial will follow in Essie J. Handy Cemetery in LaFayette.
Mr. Gaines leaves his cherishing memories to one daughter, Kathy Gaines and one stepdaughter, Annie Lois Hardnett, both of LaFayette, AL, three sons, Walter (Teresa) Gaines, Tony (Jeronica) Gaines and Willie Frazier Gaines, Jr. and one stepson, Ray (Lolita) Hardnett, all of LaFayette, AL, one sister, Lillie Mae Story, one sister-in-law, Shirley Whitlow, one brother-in-law, Clyde (Doris) Hardnett, one granddaughter, Taydious (Marquez) Pendleton, one step-granddaughter, Sebrisha (Wacorion) Hardnett, both of LaFayette, AL, four grandsons, Matavious Hardnett, special grandson, Zyterrious Dawson, Jomarious Burton and Tyler Gaines, four step-grandsons, Ennis Hardnett, Marlon Hardnett, Concoryen Askew and Tazarius Towles, all of LaFayette, AL, nine great-grandchildren, three special friends, Autry Hardnett, Magarine Johnson and Darlean Little, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
