Mr. William Lewis Black, 79 of Camp Hill, AL passed away on Saturday, June 14, 2025 at East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika, AL.

Public Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 19, 2025 from 12:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. CST at Silmon-Seroyer Funeral Home Chapel in LaFayette, AL.

Mr. Black will lie in state at the church one hour prior to the funeral service.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, June 20, 2025, 11:00 a.m. CST at New Canaan Missionary Baptist Church in Camp Hill, AL, Reverend Terrence Hughley, Officiating | Eulogist.

Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Mr. Black leaves to cherish his memories a wife of fifty-nine years, Jannie Black, three daughters, Connie Presley, Nora (Kendrell) Harris, both of Camp Hill, AL and Deborah Black-Ivery of Wesley Chapel, FL, three grandchildren, Chantel (Andrew) Finley of Camp Hill AL, Roger (Ninia) Hicks of Opelika, AL and Isaiah Hicks of Camp Hill, AL, two great-grandchildren, Stacy O’neal Presley and Alaysia Finley, both of Camp Hill, AL, one sibling, Ruby Finley of Opelika, AL, one great-uncle, Grady Nelson, Sr. of Camp Hill, AL, three brothers-in-law, Felton Spence and Frankie Evans both of Camp Hill AL, and Rev. Tommie Finley of Opelika AL, two sisters-in law, Mary Lene Evans and Odell Heard, both of Camp Hill, AL, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, and friends.
