Lonnie George Satterwhite, Jr., 81, passed away Tuesday, March 3, 2026.
Public Visitation will be held on Friday, March 13, 2026, from 3:00 PM CST until 6:00 PM CST at Silmon-Seroyer Funeral Home Chapel, Lafayette, AL.
Mr. Satterwhite will lie in state at the church one hour before the funeral service.
Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2026, 11:00 AM CST at Mt. Pisgah Missionary Baptist Church, Roanoke, AL. Reverend Lorenzo Foster, Pastor/Officiating. Reverend L. B. Houston, Eulogist.
Interment will be at Ft Mitchell National Cemetery, Ft Mitchell, AL. Monday, March 16, 2026, at 8:00 AM CST.
His memories will be cherished by: a devoted wife, Beverly J. Satterwhite of Roanoke, AL; two daughters, Veitra Satterwhite, Vanessa Satterwhite Langston (Anthony Sr.) of Atlanta, GA; blended daughters, Monique Myrick(Tracy) of Atlanta, GA, Tamiki Gibes of Rialto, CA; seven grandchildren, Kenyonna Satterwhite, Julia Townsend, Ashley Satterwhite, Alea Satterwhite, Leo Emmanuel Jolly, Anthony Langston Jr., and Avery Myrick; one great-grandchild, Daniel Smith, all of Atlanta, GA; two brothers, Larry W. Rachel (Sheldia) of Roanoke, AL, Hilton Rachel of Bessemer, AL; four sisters, Mary Kathleen Satterwhite, Deborah Houston (John Frank) both of Roanoke, AL, Wynette Satterwhite of Brooklyn, NY, Gwendolyn Roberson (Charles) of Wedowee, AL; and a host of nephews, great nephews, nieces, great nieces, and cousins residing and stationed in Alabama, Brooklyn, New York, Georgia, and Japan.
