Graveside service for Mr. David Paul Cook, 68, of Lanett will be Thursday, October 10, 2024, at 11:00 am at the Snippa Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Sam Wood will officiate.
Mr. Cook was born on September 20, 1956, in Lanett to Paul Newton Cook and Kathleen Nelson Cook. He worked for West Point Pepperell for many years but after his retirement he was a full-time farmer. He enjoyed tending his cows and raising all types of fruits and vegetables. He loved the outdoors and in his spare time enjoyed fishing. The last animal on the farm was his donkey, Jack, that he enjoyed so much.
He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Rebecca Buivids Cook; one son, Daniel Paul Cook; two daughters, Stephanie Ward and Andrea Crowder; three grandchildren; a brother, Tracy Cook (Kim); a niece, Kendall Curley (Bradley); and a nephew Derek Cook (Jamie). He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother Jerry Wayne Cook.
