Mr. Arthur Lee Carr, Jr., 75 of Lafayette, AL passed away on Friday, May 23, 2025 at East Alabama Medical Center, Opelika, AL.

Public Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 29, 2025, from 2:00 PM CST until 6:00 PM CST at Silmon-Seroyer Funeral Home Chapel, Lafayette, AL.

Funeral Service will be held on Friday, May 30, 2025, 1:00 PM CST at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, Lafayette, AL. Pastor Gary L. Dixon, Officiating/Eulogist.

His memories will forever be cherished by his wife; Christine Carr of Lafayette, AL; children, Yvette (Jeffery) Preston of Opelika, AL, Tamega (Leon) Carr-Williams and Cedric Carr both of Chattanooga, TN; two stepdaughters, Kastella Turner of Opelika, AL, and Latasha Avery of Dallas, TX; grandchildren, Raven Preston of Opelika, AL, Jasmine Preston of Tuscaloosa, AL, Tatyana Carr, Zykiem Banks, Cykien Banks, and Kimora Carr all of Chattanooga, TN; step grandchildren, Amia Jennings and Marquavious Daniel both of Opelika, AL; four step great-grandchildren, Markeice Foreman and Markus Foreman, Jr.  both of Opelika, AL, Mason Daniel of Opelika, AL, and Ziraya Daniel of Columbus, GA; four brothers, Alexander (Sandra) Jones of Valley, AL, Willie F. Carr, Bobby (Cynthia) Jones and Steve (Patricia) White all of LaFayette, AL; two sisters, Patsy (Mac Arthur) Rudd of Valley, AL, Patricia (Jerome) Hicks of Aikens, SC, one uncle, Eddie Jones, Sr of Decatur, GA; three aunts, Dorothy Finley of Lafayette, AL, Jennifer Whitaker of Valley, AL, and Johnnie Ann Jones of Decatur, GA; two sisters-in-law, Charlene Turner of Lafayette, AL and Helen Turner of Lanett, AL; two brothers-in-law, Leon (Tammy)Turner of Lafayette, AL and James Oneal Holloway of California; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
